DETOX DATA

Detox is an area I have shared my thoughts about in some detail at recent retreats. I’ve shared thoughts because so many clients have wanted or needed to know about detox. As a result I’ve been actively investigating – it’s important to everyone.

Have you heard about the “3 day detox” ? Or the “one week deep cleanse”? Ever been tempted? Well be careful! Detox is not a 3 day deal, nor is a week long enough for a real cleanse. But that doesn’t mean it’s not worth doing.

If you’re wondering why, as an intuitive, an expert on energy and even a spiritual teacher, I am quite so interested, it’s really simple. I spend a great deal of time with clients working on purifying, or building our energy - concentrating on the energy bodies around the body, and the progress of that energy into the body. But, what goes on in the physical body? 

Energy moves from the causal realm (come and work with me to understand more) in towards the physical body. But, the processes of the physical body produce energy too, and that energy affects all the activities of the physical body as well as – crucially - moving out into the energy bodies.

Have you heard of, for example depression caused by a toxic imbalance of some sort? An occupational exposure to a toxin is regularly the source of a court case (Remember asbestos?). But what about in our daily lives? What do we encounter and how does it affect us?  Increasingly doctors, researchers and nutritionists are looking at these sorts of issues.

I think they are crucial. Not because I have any sort of medical background - I don’t - but because it is obvious that what you eat or drink, or inhale or absorb through your skin affects you. Drink a cup of coffee and you feel it. What’s it doing to you? And then, long term, what are many cups of coffee doing? (might be good, might not). Substitute any number of other substances for coffee. Investigate just the surface of environmental medicine (or check out the lawsuits around asbestos) to know that there is an enormous area of very real concerns.

Well what to do about it? First things first. I cannot give you medical advice. I am only sharing my thoughts and experience, as well as the experience of some of my clients here. The information below is not a recommendation. Before undertaking any kind of medical or nutritional regimen I strongly advise you to consult a qualified practitioner. But - here are some ideas to discuss. I look forward to talking to you about your experiences at a workshop or retreat.
